For 2011 Tour will be releasing their new THOR line of skates. With an expected early July release make sure you check the complete line out at the Tour booth at all the big tournaments this summer, including TORHS, NARCh, and State Wars.

Tour has been working hard over the past months to bring out what they think is their best skate line so far. The new THOR line features a new internal structure that Tour has developed. The new line will be both lighter and stiffer then their past skates. Meanwhile the new line will still provide the comfort that Tour is known for.

The new line will include a total of four new skates, which will be ready for an early July release. These skates include the THOR EX-1, THOR ZX-9, GX-7, and the new G-1 goalie skate.

The suggested retail prices are as follows:

THOR EX-1 —– $550 to $600

THOR ZX-9 —– $440 to $500

GX-7 ——- $300 to $350

G-1 Goalie — $220 to $280

The GX-7 will be the price point skate in the line-up, but will feature many of the features of the THOR lines top end skates, making the GX-7 the most bang for your buck. One very helpful feature of the GX-7 that in the past has only been on the top skates is the 1 bolt frame system.

The G-1 goalie skate is very similar to the Carbon GX, but the skate features a new internal structure, a revised profile, and a new Labeda Predator frame, which has an improved, leg tie system.

Other things to note regarding the new THOR line from Tour is that the EX-1, and GX-7 will both be offered in youth sizes at a reduced price.
