Tuesday the AIHL announced the list of awards it will be presenting at the first annual AIHL Banquet. The event will be held at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA and will begin a tradition of honoring the league’s best for the concluding season.
The league will hand out awards to all division and conference winners, as well as the official transfer of the Champions Cup to the new league champions in both elite and minor. As well honors will be given to the leading goal scorer, top overall scorers, and best over all league record.
Several individual awards will be awarded as well. Those include: Sportsmanship Awards, Top Goaltender, Top Defenseman, Coach of the Year, Playoff and League MVP’s. All of the nominees for these events can be found on the AIHL Awards Page here.
