So sorry to hear of Todds Passing. I worked with him at the coliseum and he always had his attention on the young kids learning the game. God Speed Todd.

Growing up there were so many battles and so many wars. On the rink I couldn't stand Todd and the 99ers because we had such an intense rivalry. But one thing I always had for Todd is RESPECT. This man did so much for Roller Hockey, he did so much for Roller Hockey on the East Coast as well as nationally and I know he did so much for the ones that knew him. Every time I lace up the skates, I thank him. Todd will truly be missed but never ever forgotten. #99 Forever - R.I.P. Todd Melton.

The passing of Todd's death has just reached my family's ears. (Chambers). The Chambers and Melton family are perhaps the oldest of friends. Our families live side by side for 45 years, and our fathers John and Lonnie Melton grew up in West Philadelphia and were friends since the age of 6.

Our families resided on Park Blvd. in Camden, New Jersey and we, my brothers John, Dennis, and Chris and his three brother (Troy deceased, Trevor and Terrell) are life long friends.

My heart goes out to his mother, Jean Melton and to his father Lonnie Melton, who are like second parents to us. Together our families raised phenomenal athletes, scholars and humanitarians. I am numb right now, and my prayers travel across the miles to the Melton family and Chambers family.

Sorrowfully submitted.

Wow....this is some terrible news. At the end of the day Todd was a major part of all of our lives in the roller hockey world. To his players, maybe even a mentor off the ice. Personally, I owe Todd a thank you for all the great games we had played against one another, rivalries built, places I have seen and friendships I have made because of him. There will never be another time like that again. I knoq I can speak for everyone who crossed his path and say we all miss those days!! Thank you Todd.
