Hollywood Dream adds Juaquin Chavira and Sabraj Nijjar in bid to challenge for the MLRH West title.
The Hollywood Dream were cleaning out their roster to make room for some new blood as they released both Erick Rivas and John Lyntton. This was done to accommodate the Dream acquiring Juaquin Chavira, who will be returning to action in either November or early December. The Dream had the next draft pick in the inaugural placement draft, and would have selected Chavira. Commissioner Doug Jones, spoke with Chavira and the Dream who both were enthusiastic about Juaquin returning to play.
So Juaquin, in the natural order of the draft and being a former LA Pama Cyclone so he would of been draftable, has been claimed by the Hollywood Dream. Chavira will be on the bench with the Dream until he is able to play. Hopefully, it will be Rob Laurie night, November 19th.
The Anaheim Bullfrogs also released goaltender Corey Jones, who then was signed by the Hollywood Dream. Look for Jones to make his debut opening day.
The Dream then traded their third round pick of the 2012 player draft to the Anaheim Bullfrogs to acquire the rights to Sabraj Nijjar. With Sabraj, the young and inexperienced Hollywood Dream become stronger with the additions of Kevin Adams, Zach Walthers, Mike and Sabraj Nijjar and Juaquin Chavira. Look for these players to make a difference with the Dream in the first few months of the season.
