You have to credit Pama. With their ladies team there to cheer them on, Pama would edge a very good ASU team and outlast a late surge to win the men’s platinum championship.
With the semi-finals tilted in favor of the Cyclones, they would knock out a very offensively strong and gifted Nakhon Dragons team to grab the shot at the NARCh 2010 Championship. ASU would meet Califronia standard and in a very close game, also advance on a 2 – 1 score which again, had some close calls at the end.
As has been the norm at the 2010 Finals, the Cyclones would gain a 2 – 0 lead on goals by Ian Miller and Kris Kranzky. James Jensen would backstop Pama with some incredible saves as ASU would take 12 shots in the first half. In the second half, they would finally get one by Jenner, as Brian Ganz would score with 4:59 left in the game to bring ASU within one. The last minute of the game was a flurry of ASU activity. ASU would put five shot on net in the final 00:30 seconds of the game with their goalie, Clay Taylor on the bench. Pama would celebrate with their fans who came running on the rink to enjoy the moment and the savor the 2010 Men’s platinum championship.
In our bronze medal game, California Standard would shut out the Nakhon Dragons 3 – 0 to win the game.
The 2011 NARCh Finals will be in Estero, Florida and at Germaine Arena.
