Voohees, NJ – The New Jersey Nightmare minor team continued to roll out of the gate with two more wins, this time against the Southampton Cyclones. The scores of the games were 7-4 and 8-2, as the Nightmare continued to flex its offensive muscle. With the wins they improve to 4-0 on the season and are off to an impressive start in the tough Mid-Atlantic Division. The Cyclones won’t have long to marinate over the losses, as they are back in action the very next day in Wallington, NJ against the Grizzlies.
The Elite series would prove to not be as one sided as the minor games. It appeared that the Liberty would be the clear winner of this matchup, as they would dominate game one by the score of 4-0. The shutout would be the league’s first, credited to Ben Dahms of the Liberty. The Nightmare answered back with a nail-biting 2-1 victory of their own in game two. Tempers erupted at the end of the series, rekindling the inter-division rivalry between these well matchup Mid-Atlantic foes.
