PIHA Rocky Mountain Division Welcomes the Mile High Miners

Published on September 09, 2010 with No Comments

Colorado Springs, Colo. – PIHA is excited to welcome the Mile High Miners for the 2010-2011 season. A replacement for the Littleton Fire, the Miners will play at RMR in Lakewood. For the upcoming season they will be represented by one Pro team and two Minor teams.

The team will be led by General Manager Mike Penman, a long time inline hockey coach who has a great relationship with the Miner’s home facility and the surrounding youth hockey programs.

Skating in purple, black, and gold, players projected to make an immediate impact are Garth Penman, a great two-way player and member of USA Roller Sports’ 2010 Inline Hockey Junior World Team, and Chris Prange and Wesley Cumpston, two high-powered offensive threats.

“We are excited to have the Miners join the Rocky Mountain Division,” said PIHA President CJ Yoder. “With new talent and a long-time inline hockey supporter as GM, we expect the Miners to compete right away.”
