What a night in Irvine, California. If you were there you saw the heroics of Tyler Svoboda who scored the overtime winner in the 949 vs. Revision game. This after James Irwin had completed the hat trick to tie the game four apiece. Svoboda, capitalized on an overskated puck by a 949 defender and deked Angel Rios on the backhand for the game winner. The Anarchy would have a tough day as both they and Revision had shortened benches due to the flu which is making the rounds. Revision was led by Svoboda coming off his whiplash injury and won their RHTV game.
The fun began for members of the 949 Anarchy youth program as coaches Chris Connole and Greg Martin were there to introduce NARCh 2011 Gold medal and silver medal winners. MLRH received text messages about the cute and adorable 5 year old who came up and talked to Chris about her Cub team winning the gold. The Revision Devil dogs showed off their NARCh hardware too, to the RHTV audience of over 500 viewers!
Sabraj Nijjar introduced the Lady Cyclones who won the gold medal at NARCh in the women’s division as well as sharing the NARCh and TORHS 2011 winternationals trophies with all RHTV viewers.
The Mission Axiom vs. Pama Cyclones game had everything a fan could ask for. WIth only four seconds gone into the game, Chris Connole and Juaquin Chavira, who removed his cage both squared off. Chavira, got some shots in and held his ground, but the heavyweight Connole would land a few well powered shots to knock Juaquin to his knees, Chavira, however, would get back up immediately and re – engage Connole again. The crowd was on it’s feet and over 400 fans witnessed the amazing game that followed.
Taylor Kane would open scoring for Mission with a rocket and we’d have to wait until the period was over to have Gerry Osterkamp answer back with three seconds left in the first half on an incredible feed from Itano Chavira. In the second half Mission would go up 2 -1, on Raf Rodriguez’s snapshot that had eyes to bury it’s way past Troy Redmann. Itano Chavira would score on the powerplay to even it up again. With less than three minutes to play, Connole would bury a rebound between Troy Redmann’s legs to score the game winner.
