State Wars 7: Register Now For Tryouts

State Wars Hockey is proud to announce that State Wars 7 will be held at Sports Plus in Cincinnati Ohio this August 3-14.  Specific block dates for each division are available on the home page of www.statewarshockey.com

Sports Plus is a terrific place to host a family friendly event like State Wars.  Many times we forget that these hockey tournaments are about fun and family.  There needs to be things to do when the game is over, for the players siblings to do, and even ways to entertain mom and dad!  Sports Plus and the city of Cincinnati have all of that and more.

Sports Plus features 3 full sized rinks under one roof, a full service beautiful sports bar & restaurant, a Pizza restaurant, concessions, full service pro shop, video games, laser tag, mini golf and more…

When you are away from the rink, make sure to check out the Kings Island amusement parks, a Cincinnati Reds game, the Cincinnati Zoo, or one of the local water parks.

Two Great Airports to Fly Into

Cincinnati and Dayton Airports Two Great Alternatives

There are two major airports in the area to choose from if you decide to fly to Cincinnati. They are the Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and the Dayton International Airport (DAY).

CVG is a bit closer to Sports Plus than Dayton, but Dayton is a terrific airport to fly into. Dayton is small and convenient, you will be in and out of that place so fast. Our staff has flown into Dayton the last few times and have had great experiences, it is around a 50 minute drive to the facility. CVG is a larger airport but offers many flights from all over North America and is around 30 minutes from the facility.

When choosing a location for this prestigious event there are many factors but the one we choose not to ignore is affordability and ease to get there. We purposely choose central locations that are either easily drivable or reasonable to fly to, hence the central location.

Cincinnati is a great place to drive to for many families in many states. So pack up the SUV or minivan and get to State Wars! Oh and if you do drive make you dress up your vehicle and show your support for your home state or province!
