The Susquehanna Sports Complex is one of the finest facilities in state of Pennsylvania. It is home of the the “Speed Racer” himself, Jay Mazer. Jay is a great supporter of State Wars Hockey! The staff over at Susquehanna do an amazing job and our staff always makes us feel like home when we enter the doors.  Be sure you check out Susquehanna Sport Complex during tryouts, April 30th-May 1.

Pennsylvania is also know for their plethora of great young talent.  A lot of the credit goes to some great motivated parents and coaches in the state like, Mike Casey, Jamie DiDomenico, Steve Yingling, Todd Moleski, John Gattone, Lee Strofe and many many more.  The Marple Arena is known for BUIDLING young talent and for this we tip our hats (or helmets) to Jamie and his gang.  Andrew Kraft, Frank Caldwell, Brian Sobel, Al Mummert and others also help keep many older players playing this great game..thanks guys for all that you do!

Believe it or not, our staff got into a heated discussion about who the top roller hockey state in the country was. A couple said California, some said Missouri, but at the end of the day a majority of the staff said Pennsylvania. Most roller hockey enthusiasts don’t realize, but some of the nation’s best players come out of this state.
State Wars Hockey is excited to build off of the momentum of last year’s Pennsylvania support as many new players came out last year and the feedback was phenomenal from all.  Many Pennsylvania parents and players came up to us, so excited as it was their first time at State Wars and now they see what they have been missing all this time.  So if you live in Pennsylvania and have never been to State Wars, make sure you get to tryouts this year and represent at State Wars this summer.  You truly will be blown away by this awesome event!

All players are welcome at tryout, of all ages and skill levels.  We look to field two teams in each birth year at tryouts, so there is a spot for everyone.  We don’t care what club you play for, what facility you play at, or who you “support” in the industry…State Wars Hockey is all about the players and growing the sport of roller hockey.  So come on out to the Susquehanna Sports Complex, April 30-May 1 and tryout for Team Pennsylvania…unless you’re scared :)
