BREAKING NEWS – Tim McManus to Coach the Long Island 495ers

The Long Island 495ers are proud to announce that Tim McManus will be the head coach the 2011-2012 Elite team. He will be the 4th Elite Head coach in franchise history. “He coaches his teams to play the game with intelligence, discipline, structure, and class. His knowledge of the game and experience will go along with the organization this year,” says GM Mike Manara.

Some Highlights of Tim McManus’s hockey career include

  • Member of first ever Long Island based travel team – Valley Stream Wolves (Long Island Rock n’ Rollers) : (1993)
  • Head Coach Mission Labeda Snipers (1996-present)
  • over 25 National titles
  • 2011 NARCh Pro gold medalists
  • President of State Wars Hockey


Friday September 9, 2011 – 7:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M.
Saturday September 10, 2011 – 4:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M.
Saturday September 17, 2011 – 4:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M.

Sunday September 24, 2011 – 10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M. **CALL BACK ONLY

All tryouts are held at 495ers home rink – Skate Safe America

Old Bethpage, NY 11804

***you must attend 2 out of the 3 dates***

For your first date attending, please be there 45 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Tryouts are $50.00 which includes all 3 skates. $30.00 for players returning from last years roster ONLY. We accept cash, money orders or checks that can be made out to L.I. 495ers. Please also bring a light and dark color jersey.
