SENIOR ACTION
The Senior AAA division has been the most exciting and talented of the weekend, with 8 very strong teams participating. A great sign of how level and competitve this divison has been is the fact that no team will finish 3-0 after round robin play. The Florida Streethawks have been extremely fun to watch and one of the favorites leading into the playoffs. In game one against the Assault, the Streethawks blew a 3-0 lead to eventually lose 4-3, only to rebound in game two and defeat the very tough Suffolk Sting. The Sting would finish 2-1 after just defeating the home town Liberty in a great game. The ISCA Grizzlies also look tough as always and are heading into their final matchup with Team Blue, an up and coming young exciting team to watch. Team Blue is in every game and plays great team defense. The Gladiators, another young and fast Pennsylvania squad also truned some heads this weekend, especially after tieing ISCA 1-1. Rounding out the divison is The Situation, a young group of New Yorkers who also play with a ton of heart and excitement. They blew a later lead to Team Blue which has put them out of the playoff race.
The twelve team Senior AA Division has also been very competitive and evenly spread. At this moment the PA Lightning, NJ Braves, Team End 2 End (CT), and Top Gunn (NY) are the only remaining undefeated teams. Rhode Island, Delaware, and Ohio have also been represented in this divison, so hats off to those teams for getting out to Winter Wars and we look forward to having them at the “big show” this August in Cincinnati!
