After a LONG weekend our staff finally got home from a great trip from Feasterville. Once again, we had an enjoyable time at Winter Wars East and want to thank everyone who came out to support the event. There were some phenomenel hockey games played over the weekend with teams from numerous states.

Our 8 under division was real intense and it was great to watch. The Gladiators proved once again that they have some of the best young talent in the North East. These kids have been playing with one another for a couple years now. They are a real fun group to watch. I was also very impressed with the young Black Ice squad that Aaron Weiss and Jason Muro put together. It was the team’s first tournament and they got better and better as the tournament went on. 2nd place is not too shabby! Hopefully these 8 and under teams all stay together for the future of the sport

The Breakaway team proved once again to be the best team in the North East. These guys took both the 1994 and 1995 divisions by storm. Who can take them down?

Top Gunn competed in their first State Wars event and took out the Revolution in the championship game. What a great game! I also learned that the Revolution was a High School team from NC. All of these players all go to the same school together. That is amazing!

The DSC Dragons also brought some great teams to Winter Wars. The 1999 team really impressed our staff and mercied the last couple of teams that they played. Perry Winfree tore it up!

How about the 1998 finals? It looked like the Tour Road Runners were down and out but they showed lots of guts and determination. Jake Corso made a great feed over to Joey DiMartino and that iced the game for the Road Runners. The Rattlers showed lots of class and sportsmanship after their tough loss.

The Scorchers took home the gold in the Masters division…These guys have won every Winter Wars event that we have had and continue to dominate the divisions. The Gladiators also looked real good as well!

Now on to Colorado….See you out there!
